History: Is this NRK 26L? Not known to DVLA in 2017. Shown in Autocar article 23 Nov 1972

This is a mystery car. It is “reported” to have been one of the BMW Concessionaires Press Cars which were lent out to magazines and for press days with the registration NRK 26L. We also have records of NRK 23L and NRK 26L and it is thought that there were NRK 22L, NRK 24L and NRK 25L giving a total of 5 ”press cars”. NRK 26L is shown in an Autocar magazine article dated 23 November 1972. NRK 26L was last recorded on the DVLA data base dated 1 December 2010 so it is probably out there somewhere but in a barn or garage which we do not know about.

Jimmy Baker sold two of his press cars back to BMW in 2010 for $225,000 each. The drivers were given Press Cars from BMW to take to each race. (source Ron Perry).
